Risdon Stud - Warwick (Nov 2020)

Theresa and I prefer staying on cattle or sheep properties rather than caravan parks. We love the remoteness, the quiet, no-one else around, no lights, the stars at night, the fresh air... and so much more.

Risdon Stud is family owned cattle stud but also breed horses and agist camels.

Our camp site was 8km from the main house. And we loved every minute.

We spent a week here.

After day 3 the owner visited to make sure we were okay. With "city slickers" they see them draft past every day to collect the milk, papers etc. Had not seen us so came to check . "We're just fine" I told him. "We've got enough wine, food and water for about 10 days. Would you like a beer?".

LOL.

This was a magic stay, one we would love to return to.

We got a gravel bike ride in through the property and down to the dam. Actually a reall nice ride.

The sunsets were spectacular. Cannot video the STAR SHOW but with each night we filled a glass of fine, put on some great music, lay the chairs back and just watched the stars.

And THEN WE HAD VISITORS!!!

We hope you enjoy our various blogs.

We made them for us actually as a summarised record of the hundreds of photos and lots of videos we make of our travels.
